Anyone heard of these scopes and does anyone own one? If so what can I expect.

I haven't used em but I've read a lot about them. If I were buying one, it would be an S2, that's the series I've seen recommended the most. This post should be in the Optics forum down below, in fact, a mod or GB will probably move it. Go down there and do a bit of looking or use the search feature above to look for sightron and you'll find more info.   hth,   Tim

DAD,

I do not own one but I have never heard a bad thing about the S-II series. They have very good optics in the S-II's, the S-I's are not nearly as good of a scope.

This would be better addressed down in the Optics Forum. You will get alot more answers from actual owners.

DAD;

I have one on a 7mm-08 Ruger Compact. It was on my Ultra 223 Varmit rifle, but the Ruger needed it on it during last deer season. My experince with the scope has been very good. Optics very clear, Adjustments for windage and elevation right on the money. Holds zero always.
If your looking for a midrange priced scope, a Sightron is the way to go.

Almost forgot, mine is a 2.5X8X42mm.
Just bought a Simmons ATECH 2.8X10X44mm to go on the Ultra, and it can't come close to the Sightron as far as quality and clairity.
I don't think you'll disappointed with one.  :grin:

Hope this helps.

I have a SII 3-9x42 on a 25 Hunter Rem SA. Very good scope good clear optics. Better scope than most. Less than $300.  Sightron does not repair scopes, when something goes wrong they send you a new scope. I had one that skipped clicks and they replaced it with a new one.

Dad,
i have a Sightron SII 3-9x36mm on a 223 Handi Rifle.  I agree with the others...a very good scope.

apparently, Sightron used to supply Leupold with most if not all of their optics/glass and decided to part ways and get into the scope business directly.

zero problems to date. :grin:
