Can you folks give me some info on the 7mmSTW ability..

How far   is it's effective range??

Kick

What calibers  is it comparable to??

How hard is this round on the bore , chamber , gun ??
I have yet been able to shoot a 3 shot sub 1" group at 100 yards ...........on any deer!!!!!!

I do not know anything about the 7mmstw but I do have some sites I found load data for it. Sorry I could not help with your questions. Also you may want to post this in the T/C Rifle area. You may get a better response there.

A fella here in town has one in a Remington Sendero that he likes quite well. I've never shot it but wached him dump a coyote at about 400 yards with it leaving about a 5" hole in the dog. Supposedly it has more energy at 500 yards than a 06 has at 100.  That was the sales pitch. Seems to me he gets around 5-7 loadings from the brass but I can ask for sure.  I do know it whistles a 140g Ballistic tip out there pretty quick!

It created quite a buzz when introduced but for me, the little gain in velocity 100-300 ft/sec isn't worth the huge jump in powder used and recoil increase over the Rem or Wea. 7's plus it requires the looooong action.
