Question for Jon @ OpticZone
« on: July 08, 2004, 03:19:54 PM »
I'm workin on an H&R/NEF Handi Rifle in .45-70 and need info on optics. I think I want a low power variable with lots of eye relief due to the mounting configuration of the handi in relation to the open hammer, so I need a scope that will have enough eye relief to be mounted so the ocular bell is just above or ahead of the hammer. I'm looking at the Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32, Circle-X, Matte right now and wonder if it will handle the recoil and what the eye relief spec is. Also open to recommendations if they don't break the bank, if you know what I mean....the wifey already has her tail in a knot about the rifle purchase, heh heh.    Thanks,    Tim

Question for Jon @ OpticZone

Tim,

I don't think that you would have a problem with recoil, since the scope is very small and only weighing 10.9oz you will have less inertia transmitted to the scope.  The eye relief for the 1.75-4x32 is 4.1".  Hope this helps you out.
