Information on my 357 DW CTG
« on: July 09, 2004, 02:56:09 PM »
I just purchased a Dan Wesson revolver, has a 6 inch vent ribbed heavy barrel, with "CTG" on the barrel. It has the DW name and Monson on it. The serial number is: 325xxx. I have no idea of the age or any other information about it. It has a beautiful blued finish, and has an adjustable rear sight. I will try to submit a photo of it. I am real pleased with it and would appreciate any information on this revolver. Thanks. Mike( a "new" DW owner!)

Mike,
I have the same gun, except I have the regular barrel. I bought mine in l978(new), mine too is marked CTG, and I don't know what that means, my serial#169xxx; so yours is newer. My April1,l978 price list shows yours as Model#15-2VH6 with a suggested retail price of $272. Don

Mine says 357 MAGNUM CTG also.
I think this may just be short for 357 MAGNUM CARTRIDGE.
I may be wrong.  My wife says that happens a lot!
