how far do you all site your .17 in at?

:D could i get a little feed back on how far you guys are zeroing you're .17s at ?
i kill squills  at anywhwere from 5 to 50 yards, crows from 50 to 175+
fox from 20 to 100 yards, coyote at around 50 to 100 yards, and whatever falls in my legal bag of critters at the present time.
before i had a problem with some crazy poi's because i have about  1 5/8 inches from bore to center of scope. i had a scope with no target turrets and i was looking for a good  zero so i had not much more than an inch or so hold over or under ,and i still wasn't happy doing this because my gun really drives tacks! 8) so now i have a scope with adjustment, if i zero it at 100 i have to add some vert adjustment, and if its under 100 i have to take away... right ?
is there any way i could zero the gun in for 25 yards and just go up from there or will i run out of adjustment too quickly?

Maybe this chart will help.

My .17's ballistics are a little different from the chart, and I'm using a borrowed Bushnell scope; I have no idea what model it is. 1.5-6x, with a lever on top that turns on a red dot for low-light conditions. Not bad, but I'd like a little more magnification.

Anyway, I have mine shooting about .75-1" high at 100yds. That puts me about .75" low at 25-30yds, zeroed at 50yds, and the next measured distance I have is 200yds, where I'm hitting about 4" low. So I'm guessing it's back to zero around 150yds or so. All of those are using the Hornady loads.
Life was so much simpler when I thought I knew everything...

I like anything I sight in to be about an inch high at 100 yards to allow bullet drop at up to 200 yards. If you do that, I think you could hit anything out to 200 yards and closer.
Ohhhh, I hate when that happens
