376 Steyr Black Bok

Well the Encore finally drew blood.  I enjoy punching holes in paper as much as the next guy, but that is only fun for so long.
This boy was the end of 3 long HOT stalks in the SW Texas sun about 4 weeks ago.
I finally got within about 220 yards of him when one of his girlfriends decided she didn't like the way I smelled.  They all bolted out of the brush, and I just had time to through up my sticks and get off the shot.
I was using the 376 Steyr Hornady 225 gr.sp factory ammo.

That's a nice buck!  I've shot a couple does and really enjoy hunting (and eating) them.  Someday I'll go after a buck.  I say the same thing about axis too...
