Can anyone recomend a system that will be a navigational aid for someone on a very low budget? Thanks. POW

Even the most basic GPS will provide position information. A Magellan 315 can be had for around a $100USD. I connect mine to my laptop for mapping use.

I also have the Magellan Gold that works just fine for inland lakes and also doubles as my primary nav system when I'm flying. The Gold is about $250USD with software.

You might want to ask some specific questions about the intended use.
