new model/old model Single Six question

I have a chance to buy a new model cyl. for my old model frame. will it work or is it different. My Bisley cyl. fits but I'm not sure its safe?? Thanks in advance, Geo

The cylinder is safe and functional, the only real difference is the firing pin clearance cut at the rear of the cylinder. As long as it times up and the endshake/cylinder gap is reasonable.
