Anybody have problems with this ?
My Rossi model 92 in 45LC recently started jamming in the down position.
It sticks to the point that no amount of force on the lever will move the carrier lift and takes a good rap with something heavy on the bottom of the lift to get it to move. The problem seems to be with the carrier stop pin. The spring is very stiff and when it drops into the bottom detent it doesnt want to come back out. This thing is kind of a pain to get apart so I want to get it right before it goes completely back together.
Whats up doc :?
Mine is an original '92, and I've not experienced that problem, I just wanted to comment that if you think taking it apart was fun....
That detent has a majical trick to putting it back in. Takes some friggin around.
Just thinking over how it works, I wonder if the contact point between the lever and the bottom of the carrier is worn or somehow not correct, or the lever itself has a dimensional problem, so that it's getting to the extent of it's travel without giving the cartrige carrier that last push. On mine, the carrier is quite stiff (near impossible) to move by hand with the lever out, but a good push with a rod from below will lift it..
