Feb. 04 Shooting Times and 6.5-55
« on: July 19, 2004, 06:52:08 AM »
There is suppose to be a great article written by Joel Hutchcroft  on 6.5-55 in it but I can't seem to find a back issue.  I called the company and they only have access thru July 04.  Does anyone know if it is on the  Web?  I have tried but no luck so far.  If not has anyone read it and could do a little review?
Thanks  Buckfever

I got that issue (The only issue of ST I've bought in 30 years).

Looked at it last night, article by Fortier, didn't see one by Hutchcroft.

He got himself a CG-53 (or 63, I disremember) target rifle to use in High Power competition. Gave some loads he had experimented with, did some comparisons with a .308.

I'll look again tonight to see if there was another article in the mag, but I don't think there was.

If that's the one about shooting across the course highpower with a 96 Swede, I have it at home. There are a lot of good loads in it. In fact some of them sound almost too good to be true. I'll look for the issue tonight. You guys send me a PM and I'll snail mail you copies.

You are most welcome. Little time and zero effort. More folks need to know about the 6.5 Swede.
