howdy
Is it possible/practical to mate the later forged steel barrels for this model shotgun to a reciever that was orginally damascus barreled.

If that isn't possible could the damascus barrels be lined or sleeved to accomadate 20 ga or .410?

Contact Briley,the choke tube people. They make barrel liners & can answer your qt. with the straight scoop.

ANYTHING is possible, 1889 rem's were made with damascus barrels,steel barrels and even rifled barrels, but it  could be costly, You could probably buy a decent shot gun for less than you would spend "modifying" this one and I hate to see a nice original "modifyed"
