Kimber HS Bases
« on: July 21, 2004, 04:41:47 PM »
All,

I just found out that the new Kimber has pulled a fast one on consumers.  Making it so you have to buy their special bases to work on their .22's. I have Kimber HS, that I recently decided needed to have the scope mounted higher, for silhouette. However, I cannot find any bases or rings that will raise it any higher than the tallest Leupold rings.  I want something that will give me at least an inch off the receiver.

The action does not have a grooved receiver, so I am kind of stuck.  I would be with a one piece mount, or two piece.  Any body know where I can get these?

Thanks

Wayne Merier in Georgia machines bases for the Kimber receiver.  Email wmerier@adelphia.net.  I've used them, they are very nice high blocks, but I can't remember just how tall.  Worked very well for me.  Sarah
