How to fit a 10/22 aftermarket barrel to an AMT action

Anybody know if an aftermarket 10/22 barre (Green Mountain) will fit an AMT Small Game Hunter II and if not , what has to be done.

The AMT is aa direct copy of the Ruger so I'd guess it would fit. I believe AMT may still be in business but I couldn't find a listing for them in the 2004 GunDigest. Their weapons are listed in GunParts but the autoloading rifle is absent. I would bet the barrels will interchange unless theirs screws into the receiver. If it is held in place by the Ruger style clamp at most all that would be required is manipulating the shank diameter to match. Still I have not worked an AMT all is speculation here.. If you have one I can get shank diameters for the ruger.. The barrel contour will most likely not match but that is not unusual, even with rugers.
