Gun Registry used by US as study in incompetency
« on: July 23, 2004, 05:10:19 AM »
Canada's 1 billion gun registry is being used by a US Project -management center for senior corporate executives as a case study in incompetance and financial mismanagement
BASELINE, a NewYork based management center that conducts case studies on information technologyfor business leadershas published an analysis on the gun registry entitled:CANADA FIREARMS:ARMED ROBBERY
The analysis is posted on their website www.baselinemag.com
Read it- and forward it to your local politician- and demand what they are going to do about it.There;s no point in us preaching to the converted- we have to make our demands known-politicians count on us NOT doing that

ratherbefishing, I wish you would finnally just really let us know how you feel about the gun registry. Quit holding back let it out.

Really though I know how you feel. Other peoples stupidity that affects me that they try to cram down my throat just aggravates me to no end. You know if all us who hunt and fish and have a somewhat conservative mind set from Canada and the US (We could even invite our Aussie/New Zealand brothers) could get together in one country and give the Liberals  another place to live I think you would see some interesting things happen. We probably could function with almost no government or government interference. Crime would be down as it just would not be tolerated. We would give people who have undergone some misfortune a hand up not a hand out. Taxes would be low as there would be little government or government programs to finance.
On the other hand I think the Liberal country would be quite different. There would be an influx of criminals because they would be reformed not punished. Immigration of people looking for a free hand out would sky rocket. There would be an increas of lawsuits and lawyers all trying to get an easy buck by blaming someone else for their actions. There would have to be all kinds of government programs to reform the criminal, support the ones who do not want to work for themselves, and to just protect people from themselves. This would in turn meen bigger governments, more agencies and committees,  more lawyers and politicians to take care of this giant liberal animal that keeps growing, and consuming more. Finally this will get so big and out of control that it will have to implode upon it self.

The sad thing instead of each of us having seperate countries we the conservative minded are being overrun in each country by a mindset that thinks their views are the only correct ones and they need to cram them down our throats to protect us from ourselves.

Sorry for the rant but, MAN THAT FELT GOOD!!!!!

Do you know that if any murder suspect, convicted or not, is able to make their way across the Canadian border and claim refugee status- theCanadian government will- at no cost to that individual- negotiate a no death penalty agreement with the US prosecutors before they will  allow the the US to extradite that individual  back to the US to face charges? If the US refuses to accede to those demands, that individual is free to stay in Canada until such times as the US agrees to those terms. We may as well take out billboard advertising along interstate freeways.And- get this-this is from a government that purports to be making our lives safer by implementing a multi billion dollar firearms registry.......on the premise that criminals will all rush down and register their handguns, Uzi's, sawed off shotguns, and automatic weapon.....while we stand in line and register our single shot blackpower rifles that sometimes go off!

Hi guys, Canada has definitely given you a good example of what not to do with a billion dollars!(likely 2 billion by the time you rear this)  The whole thing is such a joke up here!  As much as us gun lovers try, we cannot seem to vote the Liberal gov't out and scrap the registry.  Whatever you do, fight to stop it before it starts, because once a government starts the process its hard to stop - I don't think we'll ever be free again here in Canada!!!
