Looking for large grips for .44 Super Rd Hawk
« on: July 24, 2004, 09:51:37 AM »
Hope you guys can help!! :D

I am in need for larger grips for my super red hawk. I have tried the the most common answers, Pachmyers and Hogue, with finger grooves and such.

What I would really like to find is a large set of thumb rail grips like the MK II target pistol. I suffer from big fat hands and need more to hold on too.

If you could provide any links or solutions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Several years ago i sent my .44 mag unit to Lewiston Idaho along with a handprint for a set of custom, ambidextrous  walnut grips.  -Herrett custom grips or something like that is the name of the business.

they took my hand print and produced a wonderful set of grips.  they're great grips. just can't remember the company name exactly. there were numerous options available as to type of wood, grade and styles.  the boomer was tamed a bit with a good set of grips.

check out www.badgercustomgrips.com if they have something you like, they could probably customize it to your hand size.
Good luck
