Value of a used 454 FA?
« on: January 15, 2003, 07:09:54 AM »
What should I expect to pay for a used 454 FA either model premier or field?  I've been thinking of getting one and was just told where one was at for $900.  I havn't checked it out yet bet from what I was told I belive it was a field with 10" ported barrel.  Don't know if there were any other option.

I would prefer the 7.5 barrel but if this is a deal I may change my mind.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try this link

You can find FA Field Grade for $1000.  Ported barrel will rise the value of the gun as well as the Premier Grade finition.

There out there you just have to be persistant. check you local shops used counters & talk with the shop owners. Let them know what you looking for. If thewy know they can sell a used weapon they are more likely to take that model in on trade.

It took me a year of checking the 5 local shops. Then one day I walked in a place and found A premier  FA .454 4 3/4 barrel, ported, trigger stop for $900. I couldn't be happier with it.

I think anywere around 50% of new cost is fair. I also believe a lot of traded in casulls don't have many rounds put through them. The deals are out there you just need to look.

for some reason theres alot of them for sale out there right now. I would expect to pay $1000 for a field grade and maybe $1200 for a premier.
