Thumbs up to Optic Zone!
« on: July 26, 2004, 06:02:34 AM »
I ordered a Zeiss scope over the weekend (at a good price).  unfortunately, I got a call this morning saying the scope just wasn't in stock and would be on backorder.  It's sad that the scope wasn't in stock but the great thing about this was a got a PHONE CALL and was told by a very nice lady that they were not able to get the scope at this time and couldn't get an ETA on the order.

Too bad I couldn't get the scope but the Optic Zone is first class in my book.

I noticed their prices on the Zeiss Conquest 3x-9x-40mm and I thought it must have been a mistake because  NO ONE sells them close to that price.  Heck, even if you have to wait a bit, who cares?  I'm going to buy a Nikon Monarch 3x-9x-40mm from theopticzone hopefully this week, and their prices are the lowest I've found anywhere.

Yea, I ordered the 3x9x50 conquest.  No one could match the price but the lady told me that the scopes should be in soon and to check back...I will.

THAT'S A NICE SCOPE!!!  I didn't know that the 3x-9x came in a 50mm version....must be a new model!  Do you know what the eye relief is?  I know that the 3x-9x-40 has a constant eye relief of 4" which is great, but I don't know what it is on the 50mm version.  Maybe the same?

brdavis,

I would tell my wife the compliment that you gave her, but she might get a big head and start making me do more of the work.

I have bought 4 scopes (4 different orders) from "The Optic Zone" in 2004.  Not one problem, scopes get to me very quickly.  Have not had to call, probably because I get all my questions answered here.  I ask questions or read where others have asked what I wanted to know, then just order online.  If I had to check out my local gun stores (like I used to have to do), I would not have gotten what I wanted OR would not have a "warm and fuzzy" feeling with my choices.  But now I do thanks to Jon and all others that post here (and GB for having this site).  Mike.
