Do you have to do anything special when shooting BP if the temp gets down to the high 30's. Anything colder and I don't work at that temp.

Ranger, it's my understanding that lube function slows down in cold and dry. I'm like you, I don't function when it gets really cold. I've had no problems with using BP at temps below freezing. If ya start getting hard fouling, a shot of windex or ballistol down the barrel should take care of any problems.

I'll try to report on this over the weekend. Looks like it may get nasty here. Maybe not, it can change anytime. Best part for me is, with the groud frozen, I don't get all muddy puttin' the horses out in the mornings.

ive shot BP down past 40 below. Im up here in Alaska for those of you who are not familiar with me. BP works just fine. Keeps the barrel nice and warm too, helps the hands

Ive shot a 73 and my SAA clones with no problem cepting shattering my bolt/trigger spring in the cold. Your results may vary...

I like to use a softer mix of lube in cold weather. I add a goodly bit more olive oil to my 50/50 lube fer cold weather. Generally speaking when the temps drop the reletive humidity drops too, makes fer hard fouling faster. The gooey lube mix seems to help overcome that problem.
