AVG has a free version of thier anti-virus program with free updates available at www.grisoft.com

Zone labs also makes a free firewall called zonealarm that is compatble with AVG and also provides free updates available at www.zonelabs.com

I've been using Zone Alarm for a couple of years now. Great firewall.  KN
