I just found this site the other day and I posted a question as we will be moving in may/june to Alaska.. However long it takes to drive the alcan.
thanks for the response to the question on Homer and Los Anchorage.
Any info you sourdoughs can send this Chechako will be greatly appreciated.....  :D

Hey welcome!  Just keep checking the posts here and you'll pick up a lot. The moderator has a generally good take on things and there are a bunch of fine folks contributing here.  I think Daveinthebush listed a bunch of helpful links to schools and community information in the last year or so - take a look back.

YOu might want to check out the State of Alaska, online site for a lot of info.

Your moving to one tough state.  More seasons than should be allowed by law.  Deer season is open, silvers are in, told the dog we'd spruce hen hunt this year, moose hunt commin up, blue berries are ripe..........

And they want me to return to work next week!!!!!!!! :eek:
