Huntofalifetime.org, helping the kids
« on: July 30, 2004, 10:55:31 AM »
I just wanted to take a minute and tell ya’ll about a group that is doing great things for youngsters that are or have suffered the effects of life threatening illnesses. "Hunt of a Lifetime" is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to grant hunting & fishing adventures and dreams for youngsters, age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. We are doing what we can to make a difference in their life by helping to their dreams come true. The web page is www.huntofalifetime.org. Depending upon which type of trip and the destination they chose for their trip they may receive items from companies such as Savage Arms, Simmons Optical, BSA Optical, Buck Knives, KBar Knives, Rocky Boots, Mossy Oak, etc. to take home after their adventure. If you know of any youngsters who are interested in going on a hunting or fishing trip please have them or their parents contact us. After it is confirmed that they are suffering or have suffered from such an illness we will do what we can to make their dreams come true. Our contact information is listed below.

Denvas, this seems like a nice thing for youngsters. It's nice b/c some youngsters (like me back in the day) didn't have a father or family member to take me hunting. I had to go w/ a friend and his father. The both of them showed me the ropes and before I knew it I knew as much as my own father (he had hunted before...couldn't even take down a deer that was standing right in front of him :? ). We need more people like you in this world who are more than willing to take youngsters out....regardless of knowing them and knowing of their saftey with guns and whatnot. I don't think the lord will forget people like yourself. Keep it up!

his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?

Doctor: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

Good work Denvas, it is good to see that the spirit of sportsmanship and helping others less fortunate to enjoy the outdoors is not totally dead.
