New encore pistol in 250AI

Hey guys

 Got a new bbl in 250AI . Does anyone have any advice as to what  brand
 and weight bullet to use for whitetail deer this season? Its a 15 " med
 contour encore pistol with a 1-9" twist. Those 100-117 grn bullets look
 good but which one? I have redding dies for the AI .

Great pick for a  barrel.  I've been drooling over the caliber in the 250 Savage.

With the 1 in 9 twist, you can stabilize  the 117 grain bullet at handgun velocities.

I use a 100gr Nosler BT with great results in my 250 rifle barrel.  Great round.

What twist are the factory barrels?. In .25 I thought there was only a 10 twist!

 I ordered the bbl with a 1-9" twist so i can shoot 100-117 blts

 I am going to try all of those.

Scott, how's the 250 AI coming. Who did you get it from. Have you shot it yet, worked up any loads?

Congratulations Scott.

I should be receiving a 24' SS .250 AI from Bullberry any day now. It has a 1:10 twist. Research shows it should be a great round.

I have the Sierra manual which has nice .250 AI data. I plan on initially trying the Sierra 90 gr HPBT (supposed to be hammer on deer) and the 100 gr prohunter (another great bullet).

I too just bought the redding 2 die set, also have the lee collet to use (lee says collet will work on improved also). What are your plans to fireform? I'm planning on using 75 gr hornady HP's with a light load of H4895 from the 250 data.

  I just bought a box of rem corelokts and i'll fire form them. Love that
sierra manual and those 90s are the way to go for deer . When i called
sierra they really spoke  highly of them. I bought a can of H4895
for my 30-06 to make light loads .  Let me know how it all goes .  I got
a late start on remodeling my reloading room, so i am a little behind.
