I did my patriotic duty today!!
« on: July 31, 2004, 10:03:04 AM »
I bought another gun!  Its a Para Carry, 3" barrel, 6+1, with the sweetest DAO trigger on the planet!  It just seemed to me that I was not doing my fair share to help the American economy along and the notion hit me that buying another gun was exactly what I needed to do!  However, I'm out here in the PRC and won't get to pick it up until the 11th.  So, I'll just have to live in a state of heightened anxiety until then and hope our commrades in the state capitol don't pass some draconian measure before then that prevents me from taking delivery.

Are they still made in CANADA?

When you said you'd done your patriotic duty, I was hoping it meant you'd taken a shot at sKerry with a Patriot Missile!  Don't get my hopes up if ya don't mean it.

And at 20 feet it's going to be more than accurate enough to fulfill its intended purpose.  I had one FTE and one FTF (about a hundred rounds shot) but in a brand spank'n new gun that's not worrying me.  One load consisted of a 185 gr. XTP JHP over 7.7 gr. of Unique.  That was a bit of a hand full with that short handle but with practice it'll be just fine.  The other load was a 200 gr. XTP JHP over 8.5 gr. of AA5.  That was a sweet shoot'n round but I've yet to clock these loads so I don't know if I want to stick to them or not.  So far everything is honky dory, time will tell if problems exist but I'm optimistic.

Yep we sure do. I like my Ruger single six and my new Henry alot, now I am lookin for a 22/45 :-) . Love them U.S. made firearms.
The pistols you guys mention may be made in Canada , but sadly most of us will never own one cause it has to be 4 1/4" (barrel length) or so before we could be trusted. Anything less is prohibited , which only a very few are licenced for
Gun Control is just control ...it really has nothing to do with guns..... Lame :x
