I have purchased some Ruger "Hunters", I don't plan on shooting. They have, of course, been factory fired. I do not want to store them dirty. The question is. Will it detract from any future "unfired" collectability if I do?

Once you clean them, IMO you would not be able to prove they were not fired except from the factory. But I don't buy guns to collect, I buy them to shoot. I have an original Remington Rolling Block and I shoot it. I don't think the Ruger hunters will have any collectors value, other than someone looking for a shooter. JMHO.

IMHO: I don't think it will. What do you plan to do with the sixguns?
