The cousins husband just gave me a press. I guess I have to load some shot shells now .  It is a Bair 600 and is quite the monstrasity. Weighs about 30 pounds and is huge.  It is a little darker blue than my Dillon, does anyone know of these presses and where can I get some instructions on them. He just received all of his deceased brothers loading gear and with it came a CH scale with an oil dampener and he is wondering what kind of oil it uses as his RCBS is not like it and he wants to use it.  Thanks Boon

on the scales, mine too has an oil damper.  I use whatever is handy.  The thicker the oil the quicker it will dampen but if it is too thick then you have to wait a bit for it to settle through the thick oil.  All to say I have some 30W motor oil in mine.  If you use a very light oil it's almost like not having any oil in it at all.
I glued it to a thin board that just fits into a cheap plastic tool box.  That way I'm less likely to spin the oil or get comtamients in it.
