Shootin in public

Every year I got to the Thresherman's Reunion in Austin Manitoba. Since '96, I have been taking my 1/2 scale steam threshing outfit - this year I took my 1/3 scale 6 pounder. Since one of me friends is usually up to some hyjinx, I took some powder charges to.

On the Thursday evening, we fired some blanks. On Friday, after dark, we fired some more - 1/2 Oz, 3/4 Oz, and 1 Oz charges, DAMN but them 1 Ounce charges are impressive in the dark!

They announced the cannon firing on the PA system so we had a purdy good crowd. A video company photographed both events 'n' I'll post some pictures when they send 'em to me.

I gotta say that cannons is purdy popular, even at an ag fair

Next year give us a month's advance warning.  I'll bet the food was excellent too.
