Has anyone here tried a Pistol scope on their shotgun?

I just Mounted a Swift 2x Pistol scope on my 20 ga Tracker II. It has a 50yard parallax. I'm hoping it will be the trick.

I thought about using a pistol scope on my 10GA as a scout scope.  Especially seeing how the scope mounts are half way down the barrel...
