Thanks SWFA 3-10x40 silver grand slam
« on: August 04, 2004, 11:11:49 AM »
:D I received my grand Slam this morning. Man that was FAST, I ordered it late Sunday night and got it Wednesday morning WOW (Texas to maryland). The scope looks great VERY BRIGHT, VERY CLEAR eye relief seems to be plenty. I have no complaints at all. I will mount it on my new tikka t3 stainless in .30-06 tomorrow. I will let you all know how it does as soon as I get it to the range. Oh did I mention how well the scopes' color and texture match the rifle.  Thanks swfa and to all of those who gave advice on this gun and scope choice.:D

You are in for a treat this weekend!  That gun should really impress you and the scope sites in very quickly.  Love the quick focus.  By the way try not to giggle after checking your shots I was told it was bad form at the shooting range.  Buckfever

:D Yes it was very nice. This gun is very accurate and the scope is great. I mounted the scope but did not bore site it because I don't own one. I figured I would shoot the 25 yard target just to make sure I was hitting paper.   (HUH) bullseye, at 50 yard it hit about a inch high and a inch left so I moved it over a few clicks and tried 100 yards. I was shooting pretty little clover leafs under an inch   (1.5" - 2" high at 100 yards.)
The scope, perfectly clear and very bright, never touched my eye either. I didn't get to play with the tracking much because it was almost dead on, I only went a few clicks.  I wish the eye relief was a bit longer but you can't have it all.
The rifle, awsome trigger it suprised me every time it went off. Feeding was perfect. Action was smooth as silk. Very light and easy to maneuver but because of this it does kick but you can't have it all.
The best thing about it all, I shot 20 Remington 165 grain core lokts and 20 federal premium 165 grain gamekings and they both shot to the exact same point of aim  .    YEEEEHHHAAAWWW I'm a happy camper.
