.223 handy what ammo do you like?

I have the .223 handy rifle with the bull barrel . I am wondering what off the shelf factory rounds you guys like? I have only tried the 55 gr. wolf hp.

Winchester white box Value pack 45gr JHP is the favored factory load for most here. Sub moa is common with this ammo. I've also had almost as good accuracy with the Ultramax 40gr nosler ballistic tips. The winnys cost less, though and shoot better by a touch for me. I've read of more that one shooter here that chose the winnys as good if not better than their handloads. My best 3 shot 100yd groups with the winny have been .265 and .440 ctc. The Umax is ~.6 or so ctc.

I'll second that vote for the white box ammo. I haven't been able to beat it with handloads, yet! I'm still working on the 45 gr Hornady moly coated bullets.

try some Black Hills ammo.they offer a wide range of bullets in their 223 ammo and its a good bargin for the non reloader.some of the imported ammo is not so good and i would stay away from it

Before I started reloading ,I shot nothing but 50 gr American Eagle HPs.
