Big Bores?
« on: August 04, 2004, 10:03:56 PM »
I don't see them, but are there any big bore pumps and autos out there?  I'm talking grizzley worthy.

Most I know of are the BAR in 338 Win Mag and the Rem 7600 in 35 Whelen.

I'd sure love to see a BAR in 450 Marlin, I think it's totally doable and should be done, since they have the BLR in the same round.

Also love to see tube fed pump actions in 444 Marlin and 45-70.

I have an idea for converting an AK type action to 444 Marlin, sure hope the specs check out and indicate it's feasible.

Man would I like to have a BARin 444 marlin or the 450. Make it a 18" barrell carbine and you would have the ultimate deer, hog, or anything else that needed to be stopped.   Digger

A company called AccuracySystemsInc is going to be converting AR-10s to 450 Marlin.  Not a classical configuration, but a great rifle and a great hunting round.
