The #1hunter,
I don't have any pictures on file, but the largest deer that I shot was in October 26th of 1991. I shot him at 14 yards with a custom recurve that was 64" long and 56# @ 28". I was using a Wolverine 2 blade broadhead that is cut-on-contact and it passed cleanly through both lungs and stuck in the ground on the other side of him. I watched him fall, from my treestand.

He was a 10 point buck with a 240 lbs. standing weight, 191 lbs. field dressed weight and had a 148 lbs. carcass weight. :cool: I have yet to pull the string on a bow with that large of a deer in front of me, but I'm still looking.  :grin:

Wow. That is one heck of a buck. I don't have any big buck stories with a bow, though.  :cry: Hope to get one this year sometime though  :twisted:

a 10 point taken at 10 yards went 30.  field dressed over 200# & another 10 point field dressed 235 (my largest weight wise).
Would post pics but don't know how to on this site.  good Luck this year.  I am hoping for a biggie this year as we all do.  headed to Texas 2 weeks from today for Exotics & hogs.  Our opener is Oct. 1sr.[/url]

A nice 8 point taken in Nebraska at 14 yards. From the ground. The deer ran 30 yards and piled up.  :D
