I've been kicking around the idea of putting together a fun plinker consisting of a 10-22 barreled action on a Chaote pistol grip stock topped with a 30mm red dot sight. Not for serious target shooting, just for plinking cans or metal spinners, etc.
I've always wanted a 10/22 but living in PA where autoloaders can't be used for hunting game, I've had a hard time justifying (to myself) adding an autoloader 22 to the collection. Recently though I've been introducing different people to the sport of shooting and was thinking the above rig would be alot of fun for newbies (and me too)
The pistol grip stock seems like it would be fun. I've looked at the mini-14 previously folding style (now welded open thanks to silly gun laws) and also at the Chaote pistol grip stocks, favoring the looks of the latter.
My question is, if I were to get a stock heavy barreled 10/22 action, could the Chaote stock be modifed to accept it?
