Why such a heavy scope on a rifle you want to be lightweight?
Out of them choices I would choose #1 I have a 3x-9x 40mm Nikon and the poor thing has been there and back and still holds zero like it did the day I bought it. I also have a Bushnell Elite and love it. A lot of people prefer it just because of the rainguard and it does work, but I get this pink stuff from the optometrist and apply it to my Nikon and it repels water and eliminates fogging just as well. Everyones Eye is different so the ultimate choice is what looks best to you...I just prefer my Monarch to my Elite...I have had no experience with Burris but have heard good things about them.
I myself would stay away from illuminated scopes for three reasons
1.more places for water to enter in.
2.any light between your eye and the target will cause a "darker" image. Some people will argue this but it is a common overlooked fact that our eyes adjust with the light, which is sometimes a bad thing.
3.Battery
but it is your choice, my cousin has one and loves it but I still seem to make it out of the woods last.
also it is personal preference but I also dislike large 50mm objectives, I bought one one time and hunted with it twice, I just couldn't seem to maneuver my rifle as good in the thick stuff and that extra little bit it sit up off my gun both irritated me and totally threw off my shooting style, I didn't think it drew in "much" more light either.
just my opinion and I am in no way trying to persuade you away from your decision...Happy Hunting...
Next time you are hunting/shooting at dark30 try closing your eyes for a few(5-10) seconds(long enough for your pupils to adjust to no light) and then open them, you will see a considerable bit better for just long enough to make one shot count...
