O.K. I am trying to deside on which one.
I have a couple of Questions.
1: Which is more inherently Accurate
I don't think one is more accurate than the other.
2: The .45 is a BH and the .44 is a SBH, what is the differance.
I have a .45 BH, 2 .45 Bisley Vaqueros, and a 3 screw .44 SBH. The SBH has a longer grip frame, and a lower wider hammer spur. Have you looked at the Ruger Bisley? It has a hammer spur similar to the SBH and a longer grip frame than the BH. I really like the Bisley setup for CAS. Also, according to John "The Sixgunner" Taffin, the Ruger Bisley grip frame tends to handle recoil from hot loads better than the BH and SBH grip frames.
3: I have heard of accuracy problem's with the .45, needing work on the Cylinder's, like Having them reamed and having the throat opened up.
I don't think the .45 pistols are any worse than the .44 pistols.
4: 5.5" or 7.5" Barrel
7.5" barrel will be more accurate.
I like the Idea of the .45 Colt but do not want to spend alot of money having work done to make it Accurate.
This Revolver will be used for paper punching and Hog&Bear Hunting.
Please Help as I plan on buying one very soon.
The .44 will handle higher pressure loads because of the thicker chamber wall thickness. Accuracy is relative to want you are trying to accomplish. Do you want 2" groups at 50 years?
And as Big Hext stated you may want to post this message on the Ruger Forum at:
