Safe chamber pressure for .303 Martinis
« on: August 08, 2004, 03:25:26 PM »
I'm looking for a Martini Enfield .303 at the moment. I intend to use it for mid sized deer and any other game that presents itself in medium range & so am not after a mint collector's piece, but rather a bit of a workhorse which I'll slowly restore. .303's traditionally like a heavy bullet and I'll probably use either a 150gr or, more likely, a 180gr RNSP. My only concern is that many of the martinis out there in this cal are either nearing 100 years old or already past that age & as such their actions aren't what they used to be. Can anyone give any words of advice on safe loads for this?

Cheers & God Bless
