My encore 209X50 has a problem! It shoots approx. 14" low at 100yds with the Williams peep. The elevation is max's out, assume I need a lower front sight. Where do I get it?sab-
Proper sight height is not difficult. Just remember that the goal is to make the front and rear sights the same height above the center of the barrel. And, when you make your measurements, you MUST use a caliper or micrometer. You must have a decimal answer (for example, .875) for the calculator to work. A few thousandths can have a substantial effect and this is no place for a tape measure or micrometer eyeball! * For rifles, you measure the front sight height from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight. For pistols you measure the height of the blade only. This is true unless stated otherwise in the sight specifications.
