The only places I know that hold silhouette matches in Wisconsin are Hubertus, west of Germantown along Hwy 167 - Monday night league starting at 4 PM, June through August. Call the Gander Mountain store at Germantown, WI and ask for Mike Gibson. Mike is a heck of a nice guy and he runs the matches.
The other place is Beloit - Thursday night league, June through September. They will be holding the Wisconsin State Smallbore rifle silhouette championship (80 rounds) on August 22nd. I do not have a phone number available right now, but the matches are listed in this month's Shooting Sports USA magazine. Mike Gibson can also give you information about weekly and monthly matches at Beloit.
Both ranges, although small, are very nice and shooter friendly. I really enjoyed shooting at both ranges during the 2 years I spent in Wisconsin. Everyone is very friendly and they are always welcoming new shooters.
Oh, yes... Both clubs also hold a "Frozen Finger" match in January. It is quite the challenge. Shooting in temperatures ranging fro zero to 8 degrees F is a real challenge (no gloves allowed). Make sure to take some Lapua BIATHLON ammo for those shoots. I found I could shoot OK wearing 2 layers of thermal underwear, shirt, sweater and jacket, and insulated pants. The problem was, then I had to go pee... :cb2:
