I am not the all knowing but I have 2 different annie 2 stage triggers. They are fully adjustable. The 2+ lb on you mentioned functions exactly as you described. On my 1712 I have the first stage set on ~1 lb 12 ozs or so. When you pull on the trigger and exert the ~1.5 lbs it will come back so far and stop. At that point, it's on the wall, It's a single stage 8 oz break from there. i.e. you areon the wall until you exert another 8 ozs and it breaks. I hope that clears that up a bit for you. Keep in mind this is fully ajustable, in every way imaginable. The match trigger on my 54.18 can be set up with or without a wall, no first stage, etc. Options are not limited if you talk with the right person. on the 2 stage hunter you mentioned I am trying to describe the factory settings.
Briley (1- 800-331-5718) has sold the "hangers" in the past at the shoots I have been to. If you get someone who dosen't know what you are asking for, ask to speak with Bobby Pitchford and tell him George from Arkansas told you to call him.
I'm sure there are better places and higher qualityinfo, I wanted to share what I had, I know someone will come along and give you another point of view and help out.
