.410 barrel length

a local gun shop has a pardner .410 and a pardner youth .410, both second-hand at a good price.

Besides the shorter stock, the youth gun has a much shorter barrle.

I'm thinking the sawed off version would be a handy gun if I extend the stock an inch. But what do you lose with the short barrel, besides sight radius?

it all depends on what you are going to do with the gun. if you are going to shoot snakes and rodents in the back yard it wouldn't matter.

for birds, i'd go with the longer barrel, just my preference.

my 410 handi is a great quail gun out to 15 yards, nice and quick, light, easy to carry, etc, etc.

is the bbl. sawed off or just shorter youth model have 22 in bbl and still have a choke i had both not too much diferance on shoting  youth swing faster i like them more than long ones  thats my opinion but most short gun fit me good so i perfer the short bbl.

Its not "sawed off" I meant its the short one.
