Threading line into a hook
« on: January 16, 2003, 02:21:30 PM »
I can't remember where I picked this one up but it sure works well for me when my hands get cold and I lose my dexterity in my fingers. To help with threading the line through the eye of the hook I get a couple of those E-Z threaders from a sewing shop, they're made to help thread the eye of a needle but I've found 'em just as helpful for tying on hooks, lures, and flies......

Frog :D
Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time....ES

The pharmacy has a tool for fishing under bridges, a floss threader.  It is a loop of mono that is sold for pulling dental floss through teeth.
It can be handy when making woven flies, as well as threading on flies.
