I'm looking at one of these in 223 and would appreciate any input on this rifle.

I just set one up for a guy in .308. Did a trigger job, scoped it and boresighted it. I should have cleaned out the barrel channel too, but didn't.

There's no doubt it's a nice rifle. I'd probably get one myself. If it shoots as good as it looks, I probably will. The only thing I could find to gripe about was the plastic trigger guard and floor plate.

It's a little heavy for a walk around coyote gun though (This from a guy who carries around a 12 lb Colt AR for a "walk around" gun).

I think you'll like it if you get one.

Nice rifle, sorry trigger. Mine was over 10lbs and very gritty. would replace or spend a lot of time stoning.

I am no expert on this model but I was considering it for a while last year. The forearm was way too slick for me to hold still comfortably. I know this may sound crazy and there are probably fixes for this that are inexpensive but the "feel" of any rifle is the first thing that has to be "right" for me before a purchase. I ended up buying a Model 70 Super Shadow instead.
