i just started loading for a .300 win mag and the max over all length is 3.340 with reloader 22 which is the powder im using but i was wondering if a shorter overall length will be safe im using the start grains (69.5) for powder and my bullets are seated to 3.330 will this be safe to shoot or will it cause excessive pressure

CJ,
You will be safe, but why go to min. lenth? If you need to to use your magizine or something ok, but you almost always get better accuracy with the bullets closer to the lands. Most factory rifles get their best accuracy with rounds that are to long to fit in the magizine.
