I've got the 34, 35 and 22 model Glocks.  I recently sold a 19 model that I now regret.  Glocks are my go to guns.  I've got a couple of 1911s but they aren't as reliable as a Glock.  Glocks rule.

glock fan, I'm the same way as far as Glock's go. I'll take a Glock over any other handgun out there. I don't have a 1911 yet, but I may get one just to shoot. I'm think I may get a Springfield 1911 of some sort. I had a Beretta 92F, it was a stainless 9mm. The gun was well made, I liked the craftsmanship and quality of it , but it has a grip angle thats like holding a carpenter square. I wasn't about to try and get used to it, I already had a Glock and loved it!

I've got a G17, a G20C, and a G35.  The .40 sees the most range time, for now anyway.  I plan on making a few changes to the 10mm.  I'm sure after I set it up how I want to, it will become my new favorite.

"Glock 20 10mm......... Does everything all the other calibers available in Glocks can and everything they can't! }

I own two 10mm glocks, and CARRY one almost constantly by choice over all the other guns I own, and while I don,t think they cover all uses a handgun could be asked to do, I do consider them one of the very best choices in a personal defence handgun. in my opinion you carry a handgun for a tool to stop an attacker as fast as you can, so you might as well use the most  potential power at the target available in a convienent package you won,t leave at home because its too large or hard to carry, that still allows full control and a fast potential for a second or third follow-up shot on  target, or targets
should that become necessary and that the 10mm GLOCK excells at!

look at the two heavier bullet options
WHY?
well you can,t always count on the creaps not being smart enought to use cover, before starting something and ID prefer a bullet that slaps thu light obsticals rather than getting stopped by them

340 WBY didn't even include what can be done when you hand load for the 10mm.

I load in a 5" KKM barrel Glock 20.......
135gr Nosler HP's @ 1700fps
155gr Hornady XTP's @ 1550fps
190gr Sierra JFP's @ 1320fps
200gr Hornady XTP's @ 1280fps

You can also download the 10mm........
180 or 200gr Montana Gold's @ 900fps for example.
Can't beat a 10mm in a semi-auto platform.......

Glock 20C--carry every day at the pharmacy and on the farm.  Just an all around great cartridge.  Have had 17,19,23, & 29, buth have had the 20C for the last 3-4 years because I like it so well. Have a 229 sig sauer 357Sig, but nothing beats the glocks for being "used and abused".

I have a 17,19,22 & 23,with caliber conversions to 9mm and 357sig for the 22 & 23,all function flawlessly,but I am having bullet pushback problems with the 357sig factory ammo and some reloads so I don't shoot them much.The 22& 23 are more accurate as 9's but I carry the 23 as a .40.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it.

Glock 23 -22 - 27 (40 cal.) and for some odd reason the best shooting one - gets the best scores - is the little 27. You folks should also look at the new Slide release for the Glocks - it sure made it easier for me to release the slides on these weapons.

(I need to get a 9MM in the Glock - I have about 3000 rounds and no weapon)(that 5906 S&W went down the road for the Glock)

Slide release! You mean Glocks have a slide release? Just give the mag floor plate a good slap and the slide will drop. Or, you can slingshot the slide into battery.

As soon as I got back from Iraq I got myself a Glock 22.  I have it paid for, I just need to get my background check once I get off leave.  I'm going to have to run a few (boxes of) rounds through it once I get it.  I can guarantee one thing... my gun is not going in the armory.  I'm keeping it off base at the shooting range.  I don't need anyone playing with my gun besides me.  My next gun is either an SA revolver or another Glock in 357 Sig.

Savage, is there something wrong with yours, or mine????

I can't get the slide release to move on my 36 no matter what I do with slapping it.  The only way to make mine work is to operate the lever, or move slide back to release it..... :?

The reason I'm asking is that I have had other semi's do that to me when I hit them hard enough...

Bubba,
I'm sure nothing's wrong with either one of our 36s. Most of the Glocks I've tried would release the slide when the magazine is slammed hope hard. I guess that's because the slide stop engagement area is so small. I normally go over the top of the slide with my off hand to release the slide anyway. I do that so that my reloads and malfunction drills are conducted the same way. I never use the slide stop to release the slide. Just the way I train.
