i need a 410 barrel. i dont feel like sending my gun in to the shop and waiting forever, and plus i dont see the need to spend $75 for a barel on a $89 gun. if someone has a barrel they want to sell, let me know. 28 gauge would do also. thanks.

mjbgalt, I had obtained 8 barrels from a source but they went pretty quickly. I have the word out that if they locate any more in their warehouses myself and the guys here would be interested in them. I moved them out to the other members here for just what I paid plus the shipping cost to send them forward, a few bucks less for two with minor flaws. I already have some notes on members who want different gauge shotgun barrels should anymore be located. It's been almost a month now and I am still awaiting payment from one forum member who seems to have vanished but all the others paid quickly. I still have hopes this last "brother" will pay so I will not end up paying twice as much as everyone else after doing the work just because one did not pay his share. I would feel better if he just sent me a message that he cannot afford to pay now but will in the future when he can afford it rather than just ignore my communications. Well I have to look on the bright side, I hope he is OK....<><.... :( :-)

jbtazgrabber,  I know mjbgalt is looking for a .410 and/or 28 gauge barrel. I am interested in the 16 gauge, tell me about it, what length, 2.75 or 3" chamber, what choke, what CONDITION, an H&R or NEF and what does it say over the chamber? Thanks....<><....

All the ones I was able to purchase have either fitted great as they were or were made to fit great with very very minimal (and easy) fitting. Those were all topper and topper model 88 barrels with screw on forearms. The attaching lug on the bottom of the barrel must be the one which is approximately 2 3/4 inches long measured at its longest point, usually right where it it attached to the barrel. The earlier model 58 or 058 barrels used barrel lugs that were quite a bit shorter and will not work. Any barrel that has a snap on forearm is said to not fit our newer receivers. Also be advised the newer NEF barrels use a 1/4x20 thread forearm attaching screw while the older H&R barrels used a 1/4x28 thread screw. If you have and older H&R barrel anyway just use that forearm screw, if not I have easily made forearm screws by buying either 1/2 or 3/4 inch long brass oval head 1/4x20 screws and running them into a 1/4x28 die to reform the threads, they work fine...We now need to find out the measured length of the barrel attachment lug on the 2 barrels that have screw on forearms....<><....

jbtazgragger, please measure the barrel lug at it's longest point and let us know that measurement. Thanks...Also if I understand your earlier post correctly did you say the 16 gauge is 2 3/4" only and is mostly a brown color? It it that old or is the blueing worn off and perhaps it has attained a brown/rust colored "patina"?....<><.... :?  (the barrel lug length measurement is critical to trying to determine if they are usable or possibly fittable to a newer receiver...)

I have a 22" full choke 410 barrel I'm looking to get rid of.  I just bought a NEF 410 full choke 26" barrel gun this morning its used but in great shape.  I only paid 60 bucks for it.  The youth 410 receiver I sent back and had a new stock and .16 ga barrel mounted on it.   So now I really don't need the 410 barrel on it.
If anyone wants it just let me know.

jbtazgrabber, thanks for the offer of the 16 and I would like to buy it but in the condition you describe and the price I think I'll pass for now. I am still owed some funds for a barrel I sent another member here about a month ago and If they come in I may reconsider and contact you but for now I have to hold off.   Thanks for your honesty on the description of more brown than blue on the barrel....<><....
