All original, just the way it came off the line(wouldn't want it any other way), and yes, I enjoy shooting it very much. As you say "gently" on occasion. :grin:
You should see me try to get it out of the safe, I baby it so much (in fear of bumping the metal safe) you would think it was nitro glycerin

I bid on a 1903A4 at an auction once, it even had the old 2.2x scope and was FOR SURE an A4 because it DIDN'T have SIGHTS on it!!!! I drooled when I stopped bidding at $700.00 and watched it sell for over $1400. I don't know how much they are actually worth but the guy that got it sure didn't mind giving 14 hundreds for it, he was smiling a lot afterwards too.
I hope you are able to aquire one in the future, it is truly a piece of American History, and if you are like me a reminder of how we,as Americans, can come together for a greater good when necessary.
