If you could have a coyote gun with all the bells and whistles what would it/they be(caliber/scope..etc..) ?

Dakota Arms Model 76 22-250 with a custom 24" barrel, french grey finish set in high grade english walnut with an ebony forend cap and etched bolt,receiver,scope rings, trigger guard, sights,and sling studs that all matched with a coyote/greyfox scene on the hinged plate magazine cover. Wearing a 2.5x-10x 42mm Swarovski PH with a standard Plex reticle...hey everyone can dream :)  :-D

Something I can actually afford:
  A Remington 700 or Ruger M77 .204 Ruger with a Nikon Monarch 3x-9x 40mm

Mine would be pretty close to Chris' only a few changes......I would have it professionaly Duracoated in camo.  Scope included.  And speaking of scope, since we are kinda dreaming, I would go with a Leupold.....heck maybe even a Swarovski  :wink: .

.22-250 or .204 Ruger H&R Handi Rifle or perhaps if I felt like spending some extra money for "fancy" non-accuracy/non-shooting stuff then an Ultra model. If I wanted to go a little more "Vanilla" I would go with the .223 for cheap and plentiful ammo. Add a good set of rings and a nice scope and it will shoot and most likely out-shoot  the best of the expensive rifles!!!  
Remember the shooter has a lot to do with where the bullet goes. One shot-One kill, carry on!!!....<><.... :grin:

My Ruger M77 in the .22-250 is great. Would really like to try one of the Browning model 1885 highwall's with that 28" octagon barrel or even a Ruger #1 V

If I had a T/C encore with the .223 Wssm barrel I wouldnt have to carry any of the above!

Well if I could have all the bells and whistles I'd have to build something pretty neat.  I'd probably start with a worked over Rem 700 action with a shilen medium contour 24" barrel in 22-250 then bed it in a HS Precision synthetic stock top it off with a set of talley rings/mounts and a new leupold VXIII 4.5-14 with the varmit reticle.  I'd probably opt for a stainless barrel then finish it in a matte black so it would resist the elements but be non-reflective.  I can think of several other rifles I'd like to build for this purpose but this would probably get me started.
