I emailed NEF last night to check on the status of my order. They called me today to let me know that the .45-70 barrels are backorded for at least another 4 weeks. Sounds familiar!  :cry: "John" did say that I'm first in line when they do come in.... :grin:

Man, I'm glad I sent mine off when I did.  I got mine back in exactly four weeks from when I sent it off :lol:

Oh well, it'll be that much more fun when you do get it back.

46 DAYS UNTIL OKLAHOMA ARCHERY SEASON!!!

Wlscott - Got any stands and/or feeders out yet? I have corn out on the ground in several places and I'm gonna go in a couple weeks and set up feeders and stands.
Been reading the hog hunt threads by digger and myself?
How 'bout that pheasant hunt? We still on?

That means you are in front of me! :grin:  They got mine on 7/30. I don't really need mine until October, so just as long as I get it in time to sight it in and or work up a load for elk season in November in case I decide not to hunt muzzleloader elk. Sounds like John didn't exactly tell me the truth!

I've had feeders going all summer, plus mineral supplements and of course the food plots.  I don't have any stands up yet other than the permanent ones.  I am going to put up at least two more.

You bet we're still on for the pheasant hunt.  I got a brand new 1187 SP this spring that I need to get broke in.

Tim;

Sure does sound familiar, back when I ordered my 44 barrel, they were back ordered, took over two months to get the barrel. And I sent the Ultra recieiver to them before I even ever FIRED the first shot with the 223 barrel.
I feel for you. Hope it comes soon.
Good shooting.

Dennis, Me too! When I bought the .223 ultra, I sent it in for .243 and .25-06 barrels before I shot it!  Now, the handi frame is in for the .45-70 barrel without ever being shot by me! At least BBF shot it before I got it so it isn't a virgin frame!  :P

I had went and ordered 4 barrels just for the fun of it so it could end up awhile before it comes back. The one I would like to try out is the 28ga on tree rats next weekend but I can wait or I keep telling myself. :roll:
