I have never seen or heard of a 14" MKII - may be you saw a 10"  version? I have one with a 5.5" and also a 10" which makes the 5.5" look a little on the small side!

I saw a custom Ruger auto that had a 14" fluted barrel. The longest factory barrels were the MK-10 & KMK-10 - 10" long

There is a thread on the 10" going over at rimfirecentral.com ruger board right now.  If it's a anything over a 10" , it's custom and worth some $ (I paid allot to get mine rebarreled at Volquartzen.)

The AMT Lightning had a 12" bull barrel available, the Rugers are 10", anything else would be a custom barrel.

Yup nothing over 10" would be factory.  Also, just becasue it's a non-factory (custom) job doesn't automatically mean it's worth more.  There's a number of companies that have made aftermarket bbls for these guns.  Most of the larger or prouder comapanies etched thier name/logo somewhwere on guns they work on.
A few companies now are using sleeved aluminum bbls for these guns.
