Browning Spotting scopes
« on: August 18, 2004, 03:13:18 AM »
Anybody have any opinions on these? ED glass, hard coatings, sounds good. Someone said these are basically an 80mm Bushnell Elite sized down to 65mm.
Thanks in advance.

even with every thing else the same a 65mm will not see as good as a 80mm just can't get that much light in to the eye.not saying a 65mm won't work it just can't get as much light in.but they are lighter.
i am not sure who is making the scopes under the browning name?proably made in china or phillpeens, not thats all bad just won't compete with the good glass out of Kowa,Zeiss,Nikon,Swarovski.
buy the best you can and don't look back.optics are far more important in spoting scopes and bino's than in a rifle scope, you spend more time looking thru them.
shoot good. 8)
