I picked up a used ( Like new ) NEF Sportster Model SS1 in 22 WIN MAG with a Lyman All-American 2-1/2 large dot rect ( Old Scope that looks new ). I had just sold my high-end 22 Mag and didn't want to be without having something with that cartridge around - NEAT LITTLE RIFLE.
Well, this is the first time that parallax has noticably impacted my shooting accuracy - plus the large dot rect isn't helping. The trigger pull is stout but smooth - not jerky, so I can handle that.
The Lyman Scope that came with the rifle is a beauty to look at - LOL, but there's a New Mini-Compact Burris in the future for this 22 Mag.
I have and have had several Burris Scopes, only one having A/O Adj - they have all shot well at short range, long range and over the mountain - and I never have given a lot of thought to parallax until now.
Parallax and the large dot make this scope impossible to shoot well - I think - LOL.
